Peanut Butter Crunchy Organic

Crunchy or smooth: which texture?

The Kazidomi crunchy holds pieces of roasted peanut that survive the grinding: real chew on toast, in porridge or over a sliced banana. The smooth version is ground fine and works better in sauces, smoothies and anything that needs an even consistency. One single ingredient in both jars.

How long does the jar keep once opened?

Kazidomi says to finish it within three months of opening, kept somewhere cool, dry and out of the light. The fridge is an option: it firms the paste and makes the pieces harder under the tooth. Closing the lid properly after every use is the part that actually matters.

Does this butter contain sugar, salt or palm oil?

No. The Kazidomi recipe stops at roasted peanuts from organic farming, with no added sugar, no added salt and no palm oil. The label flags possible traces of hazelnut, sesame seed, cashew and almond, coming from the workshop in the Netherlands where the jars are made up.

Do I have to stir the jar before each use?

Yes, every time. A little oil separates on its own in the Kazidomi jar because nothing holds it back. Stir from the bottom upwards with a long blade until the paste looks even again, then take what you need. Repeat after a few days if the jar sits unused.

Which recipes suit the crunchy version?

A slice of wholemeal bread, a bowl of oats, pancakes, or a thick smoothie. The Kazidomi crunchy also goes savoury: fried noodles, a dip for raw vegetables, a marinade for meat. The pieces soften with heat, so add it at the end of cooking to keep the bite.
