What are the white specks on the surface?

They come from the cocoa and are entirely normal, as is the film of oil that gathers on top: the Kazidomi purée holds no added oil and no emulsifier to keep the peanut fat in suspension. Stir the jar right through before each use and both of them disappear.

What exactly is in it?

Roasted peanuts at 80%, chocolate at 18% made of 67% cocoa, cane sugar, cocoa butter and vanilla powder, then a little more cocoa and some sea salt. Everything is organically grown. Kazidomi adds no oil and no sugar beyond what the chocolate itself already brings.

Peanut chocolate purée or Chokodomi: which one?

The purée reads as roasted peanut first, lifted by a pinch of sea salt, with the chocolate behind it and a thick texture that wants stirring. Chokodomi from Kazidomi is smoother and milder, built on hazelnut and sunflower oil. One asks to be worked, the other spreads straight from the jar.

How do I use it?

On bread, in porridge, in yoghurt or in cookie dough, and off the spoon as it comes. It folds into an icing or into home-made energy balls just as readily. Kazidomi says to stir the jar before every serving, since the purée sits denser at the bottom than at the top.

How should I store it?

In a cool dry cupboard, out of the light, with the lid closed firmly. The 350 g jar needs no refrigeration: cold sets the purée solid and makes it hard to stir at all. The Kazidomi label flags possible traces of other nuts for anyone who reacts to them.
